Subsequently, in June 1983, he established his own chartered accountancy firm, specializing in auditing, accounting, and taxation-related services.

Over the next two decades, Garg focused on expanding his firm's services and geographical reach. He opened an office in Delhi, added new services such as insurance, portfolio, and wealth management, and provided statutory audits for public sector undertakings and public sector banks.
